Our Beliefs

What We Believe

The Bible is our sufficient authority, expressing foundational doctrines guiding faith, fellowship, and full gospel ministry.

The Authority and Inspiration of Scripture

We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by God and is His complete revelation to humanity. The Scriptures are living, powerful, infallible, and the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16 to 17; 2 Peter 1:20 to 21; Psalm 119:105)

The One Living and True Triune God

We believe in one true God, eternally self existent, the Creator of heaven and earth. He has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power, glory, and divine nature. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10 to 11; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Lordship and Divine Nature of Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father. (John 1:1, 14; Matthew 1:23; Acts 2:22 to 24; Romans 1:4; Acts 1:9 to 11; Hebrews 7:25)

Humanity and the Reality of the Fall

We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God. Through disobedience, humanity fell into sin and became subject to spiritual and physical death. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and are in need of salvation. (Genesis 1:26 to 27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1)

Redemption and Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Redemption comes only through the shed blood of Christ, and salvation is a gift of grace, not earned by human works. (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8 to 9; Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Acts 4:12)

The Sacred Practices of the Church

Water Baptism: immersion commanded by Christ for all believers. Identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3 to 4)
The Lord’s Supper: memorial of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ and a proclamation of His return. (Luke 22:19 to 20; 1 Corinthians 11:23 to 26)

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise for all believers and is received subsequent to salvation. This experience empowers believers for holy living and effective witness. (Acts 1:4 to 8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44 to 46; Acts 19:1 to 6)

The Evidence and Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Initial physical evidence of speaking with other tongues. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the Church. (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4 to 11; Mark 16:17)

Sanctification and Holy Living

Sanctification is an ongoing work of grace. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are enabled to live holy, separated, and godly lives. (1 Thessalonians 4:3; Hebrews 12:14; Romans 12:1 to 2; Galatians 5:16)

The Church and Its Mission

The Church is the Body of Christ. Exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate Christ’s love. (Ephesians 1:22 to 23; Matthew 28:19 to 20; Acts 2:42; 1 Peter 2:5)

Leadership and Ministry

We believe in the importance of biblically qualified leadership in the Church. A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the twofold purpose of leading the Church in evangelization of the world and edifying the Body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11 to 13; Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:1 to 7)

Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers today. (Isaiah 53:4 to 5; Matthew 8:16 to 17; James 5:14 to 16)

The Blessed Hope and Christ's Return

We believe in the imminent, personal, and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His Church. This is the “Blessed Hope” of all believers, to be followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:16 to 17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:1 to 6)
